形態特徵

Evergreen shrubs or small trees; branches slender, fuscous; branchlets lanate, especially so at nascent stage.
Leaves ovate-oblong to ovate-lanceolate, 5-15 cm long, 1.5-4.4 cm wide, apex acuminate to long caudate-acuminate, margins crenate-serrate, base obtuse to rounded, very sparsely villose above, very minutely appressed hairy along veins, nerves prominent beneath, flattened on upper surface; petioles terete, 1-4 cm long, usually purplish, glabrous to slightly pubescent; stipules lanceolate, 5-7 mm long.
Inflorescences dense cymosely branched fascicles; bracts brown, broadly ovate, ciliate.

分布

台灣 : very common at low to medium altitudes.
世界 : Southern Japan, including the Ryukyus.
